BioI am an aspiring dancer looking for friends and mentors to help me make the most of my learning. "Maibe" is Egyptian in origin and means grave. I have always taken things too seriously/literally, and to those who don't know me it may appear that I have no sense of humor. I thought the name was fitting. I pronounce it "mah-eeb." I sing soprano (though I wish it were mezzo-soprano), play the flute, and indulge in other creative pursuits as I am able.
My husband and I just celebrated our 5th Anniversary and couldn't be happier! We have two beautiful kitties we adopted from The Pet Connection named Abracadabra (nicknames include Abby and Squeaky) and Ferrelina (nickname = Lina). orrin), but an official author's website is in the works. The Reyvin Arts website belongs to our friends Reyna and Gavin. Gavin works in 3D art (sculpture, mostly) and Reyna works primarily in 2D. She's an amazing artist and not a half-bad writer, either. She is also responsible for most of my userpics and the design of her and Orrin's websites.
tama_grey is my friends-only LJ that I use for non-dance entries (keeping up with family and friends, complaining about work, investment/finance information). Some entries are public, most are not. If you have questions for me, please feel free to ask. My goal with maibe is to keep it focused on dance and updated weekly, so any memes will be posted in tama_grey or not at all.
